Bible Correspondence School
We operate a free Bible Correspondence School for inmates, ex-offenders and their families. When inmates fill out a response card at one of our games, we send a package of information to them including the opportunity to enroll in this program. Students complete Bible studies and then mail them to us for grading and review. We currently have 800 English and Spanish-speaking inmate students enrolled.
"I will count it as one of God’s bigger blessings in my spiritual growth to be affiliated to your ministry through your Bible studies. Jesus is the only reason I have been able to survive these last twelve years of incarceration in man’s prison. I’m not perfect except Christ in me. Thank God for ministries such as yours that help inmates such as myself to stay focused on His word."

Jericho Ministries

Jericho Ministries is an affiliate of The Saints Prison Ministry. Jericho Discipleship Teams provide regular, face-to-face mentoring for men and women behind bars, conducting worship services and Bible studies with inmates.
Due to the influx of prisoners at each institution, a chaplain cannot be everywhere there is a need. Team members, as a trusted arm of the chaplaincy, are often on the spot when major circumstances take place in an inmate's life. They are there to listen, hold a hand, pray, and provide encouragement when a prisoner hears of a death, illness or divorce happening in his 'outside' family.
Our Jericho Discipleship Teams seek to make known, as creatively as possible, the wonderful news of forgiveness and reconciliation through Jesus Christ.

Spanish Ministries
The Hispanic community is the largest and fastest growing ministry population in the United States. Unfortunately, this increase is also reflected in the prison system. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, 20% of the inmate population in the U.S. is Hispanic. That means that 44,000 Latinos are currently serving time in the U.S. prison system. The Saints Spanish Ministries seeks to reach this group with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its native language.
On game days we provide literature entirely in Spanish, translate or preach in Spanish as needed, and evangelize to a small group or one-on-one. Additionally, after our visits we offer our Bible Correspondence courses, pen pal program and birthday card ministry in Spanish.

Pen Pal Program
Many of the men and women behind bars are lonely and long to correspond with someone on the outside. Our Pen Pal Program serves as a safe outlet for volunteers to correspond with inmates. Our Pen Pal Program provides an opportunity for people “on the outside” to encourage and show Christ’s love and forgiveness to prisoners.

Birthday Card Ministries
It may seem simple, but one of our most effective ministries is sending birthday cards to inmates. Each of the 25,000 inmates on our mailing list receives a hand-signed birthday card on his or her birthday. Each card sent also includes a newsletter designed specifically for inmates. This outreach to the incarcerated is one way to remind them that they are loved and thought about even though they seem separated from the “outside” world.
“I recently received my birthday card from your organization. I must admit however, that I was taken back and surprised that you all remembered and cared enough to send me one. I must also admit that I was overjoyed because of it. Moreover, the newsletter enclosed in the card helped me and gave me timely encouragement over a situation I was going through.”
~ Omar B., South Woods SP, Bridgeton, NJ
“This is just a note to say thank you for the birthday card. The card has special meaning because I was not expecting anyone to wish me a happy birthday. I’ve been locked up for a long time and have since stopped receiving mail.”
~ Terell M., Kinross CF, Kincheloe, MI
“By the grace of God I am able to correspond to you and give praise and thanks for your organization. I have consistently received a birthday card for about 13 years. You may not be aware of how much it can mean to receive that one card, even if it’s from someone you don’t know. Thank you for being there all these years.”
